"Le-Le" (1987) by the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble was bought by the Soho Boho's, Acid Jazzuals, Cuboppers, Jazz Massivists and Mojo jazz musicians upon its arrival in Europe. It is a uniquely spiritual soul-jazz outing with avant-garde influences and more than a touch of Afro-Cuban Orientalism. The Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble, founded in Philadelphia in 1979 by Warren Oree, is an adventurous jazz band that - eclectic and anything but predictable - combined a variety of acoustic and electric jazz styles with African and Middle Eastern influences and mixed them with the 'New Thing', thereby succeeding in creating a timeless underground classic.
